Three star lunch

I had the most amazing lunch last weekend at restaurant Vendôme which is part of the Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg near Cologne. It is no wonder the chef Joachim Wissler has been awarded with three Michelin stars and the restaurant has been voted one of the best in the world.

The food was not just delicious but also well presented and the textures were interesting. Have a look at the photos and pay a visit to them if you happen to be in the neighborhood. However, bookings are essential.

Eurovision

Sorry for not posting for a long time. I have been exhausted by my work load and Blogger was out of service often last week. Now I am back after a weekend in Budapest. One of the highlights of the weekend was Eurovision Song Contest. It has nothing nothing to do with great music or good taste, but it is amazing institution in all its campness. Here are my favorites neither of which won unfortunately.

The most beautiful hotel pen

Hotel give-aways are not often very appealing. But there are exceptions, like Kempinski's pens. They have state-of-the-art timeless design and feel. They really reflect the luxury brand they are serving. The pens are actually a collaboration of two heritage brands, Cross and Kempinski. I got mine from Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin.

Nutcracker

Ever since I saw the Nutcracker ballet for the first time, I have been wanting a nutcracker. I found mine from Munich. It is such a cute object.
