Three hours in Trieste

I had lunch in Trieste on my way from Ljubljana to Venice. Trieste was an important part of Austro-Hungarian empire serving as the most important seaport for centuries. The old glory can still be seen on the streets of Trieste. Influences from Germanic, Latin and Slavic cultures are visible in the city's architecture as you can see below.

I visited Garmisch-Partenkirchen on my alpine tour a week ago. I knew the place of its annual winter games but I was amazed by the beauty of G-P's architecture and the religious frescos on almost every building's walls.
