In the early morning Christmas Eve (24/12) it was time to leave Wellington and the North Island. We hopped on an Interislander ferry, which was about to take us to the South Island. The ferry route between Wellington and Picton is said to be one of the most picturesque ferry routes in the world. I can not disagree.
It was a sunny day, the sea was turquoise and the rocky islands and mountainous bays were unbelievably beautiful. Perfect!
